Well, it was a wet and windy night, one of the worst gales of the winter, but that didn’t put off more than 100 guests joining us for the launch night of our new video and a look behind the scenes at the factory here.
The warmth of the guests more than made up for the cold outside as they enjoyed some delicious new crab and seafood recipes and canapés from our chef Tom Bunn.
We were lucky enough to have friends such as award-winning chefs Mitch Tonks, Jane Baxter and Stuart Downie join us for the evening. Mitch starred in our video and uses our hand-picked crab at his restaurant in Dartmouth.
The evening was an opportunity for us to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all friends, clients and customers who have supported us over the years. We are very grateful for their ongoing support and look forward to bigger and better things to come for us all.
It was also an opportunity to show our new film - made by Plymouth’s Sound View Media - which follows a day in the life of Favis of Salcombe: from pulling pots and landing the crab, to the factory cooking and picking, and finally the sumptuous delivery on the tables of high-end restaurants such as the Seahorse.
Our fully integrated premises means that we can land, cook, pick, deliver and have our crab on the tables of prestigious restaurants in record time: from pot to plate in less than eight hours.
A huge thanks goes out to everyone who came, and particularly to our friends On The Green Bus who stepped in and helped by providing their on-board kitchen; and also to Heron Valley who came up with some wonderful cocktails and ran a fantastic drinks bar.
It was a wonderful night and we look forward to doing another one soon!
