SE 101 - The Emma Jane
A 60' crabber with a crew of 6
The Emma Jane works primarily out of the beautiful port of Salcombe in the South West of Devon. She spends six days at sea and comes in for two days to land, to refuel and to get stores.
The boat works with a crew of either five or six including the skipper. All the crew are trained in:-
- First Aid
- Fire Fighting and Prevention
- Safety at Sea
The Emma Jane has passed its MCA inspection and is fitted with all the required up to date safety equipment, including a routinely inspected Life Raft. The skipper uses a Furuno radar and Sodena plotter. All of our equipment is regularly inspected and our engineer keeps the mechanics of the boat in pristine order.
The crew and the boats safety is paramount to us and we strive to make sure that the highest possible levels of safety are always maintained both at sea and alongside the quay.
